Watermelon and Chilli Salad

Watermelon and Chilli Salad by Chef Noni Masombuka | @blackolive_house

Ingredients

500g Cubed Watermelon 

2 Cups Baby Exotic Tomatoes (cut in halves) 

1 Tablespoon Fresh Chilli (depending on how hot you’d like it) 

2 Tablespoons BOH at Home Indigenous Garlic Olive Oil 

2 Tablespoons Fresh Mint (finely chopped) 

1 Sprig of Fresh Mint (for garnish) 

1 Tablespoon Black Pepper 

1 Tablespoon BOH at Home uMhlonyane Salt 

1 Fresh Lime juice 

Instructions

  1. In a separate smaller bowl, add the Chilli, Oil, Mint, Pepper, Lime and Salt then stir together to make a dressing. 

  2. Drizzle the dressing on top of the watermelon and tomatoes. 

  3. Place the leaves from the mint sprig beautifully on top of the salad to garnish. 

Spread the watermelon on a salad tray or bowl and place tomatoes beautifully around and on top of the watermelon.
